Client is to establish an exciting business to build and operate a vertically integrated cannabis business on Shinnecock Territory in Southampton, NY. The parent company is managing the buildout of facilities, to include overseeing the design and construction, and is providing capital and a full suite of operational, management and other support services.

With the dispensary opening this spring, we are seeking an Inventory Manager.

The Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory controls while adhering to all policies and regulations. Under the supervision of the Retail General Manager, Inventory Managers oversee our inventory specialists ensuring that the vault remains organized, “first in first out” methodology is followed, and the order fulfillment room is replenished as necessary. They help prevent loss by performing daily product counts and reconciliations as well as managing expiring products and promoting sales as needed. The Inventory Manager will work with the Manager to place periodic orders based on the store’s sales and projected needs. The Inventory Manager will handle all bulk raw wholesale materials coming into the facility. They will ensure these materials are delivered in a compliant fashion and all necessary paperwork is completed and then filed. The Inventory Manager is responsible for EOM and EOY inventory reporting and maintaining an accurate and updated live daily inventory.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent math, organizational, and time management skills and must work well in a team setting.

ROLE SUMMARY

Position Type: 1099 contractor initially (leading to regular fulltime)
Base Pay: $60K
Reimbursable Expenses: All expenses must be pre-approved and documented

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership

  • Communicate scheduling and personnel needs to management regularly
  • Communicate with management/facilities to ensure proper stock of all necessary materials
  • Consult daily with retail management on any menu updates
  • Responsible for all inventory entry of new products into systems

Quality & Financial

  • Coordinate with management to conduct quality checks on all medicated products
  • Check all invoices for accuracy, counting all quantities and payments and logging and reporting any discrepancies to management
  • Create and implement inventory audit schedules as required by policy and regulation
  • Keep logs of inventory audits, discrepancies, and waste disposal
  • Make sure that all check systems are in place and understood by inventory personnel
  • Track all transport documents including invoices, manifests, and log any required documents

People & Development

  • Quickly learn and adapt to new systems and in turn provide training and troubleshooting techniques on these new systems
  • Conduct all training of new inventory employees as well as providing continuous coaching throughout the onboarding process
  • Assist in the selection, onboarding, and training of new hires

Compliance

  • Review paper documents for accuracy and compliance to state and local regulations
  • Adhere to all safety and loss prevention protocols per the company’s policies and procedures
  • Comply with company and industry standards set forth by the state
  • Conduct regularly scheduled audits of all products stored in the vault under the guidance of the compliance team

REQUIREMENT

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Efficient with Excel, and other software required
  • 3+ years of experience in an inventory management role in a leadership capacity

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand orsit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work in a solitary, windowless environment for extended periods
