Program Summary:
RHD Connecticut provides residential community living arrangements, day services, and individual rehabilitative support to people who have developmental disabilities in the West and South regions in Connecticut. Currently, RHD CT operates 10 CLAs, Continuous Residential Support programs and supports individuals who reside in apartments in the community. RHD CT operates one day program e the South region of the State (Hamden).
What You'll Do:
The Behavior Specialist provides clinically oriented behavior support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses. The Behavior Specialist will work closely with our clinical, programmatic, residential and day support staff to develop holistic behavioral treatment plans that consider the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of our participants within an interpersonal and systematic context. This systemic approach requires participation on a multidisciplinary team and the training of staff, families and caretakers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts FBAs on all Consumers.
  • Assists with Maintaining a Behavior Support Plan.
  • Data Collection and Analysis.
  • Training and Modeling for Staff.
  • Completion of PRC/HRC/URR Packets.
  • Participation/Presentation in PST Meetings, PRC, HRC, URR.
  • Writes Quarterly Reports.
  • Tracking/Ensuring Consents Completed Annually.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Three Years of DDS and Related Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Subject to Employment Screenings, Including FBI Clearance, if Applicable.
  • Valid Driver's' License and Personal Vehicle Required.

Salary : $23.00-$24.75/hour + $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS.
