Position Summary:
Bartenders are responsible for serving our guests in the Tavern, and on-site events. They work closely with the Tavern Manager to give every guest a positive experience.
Expectations
Education: High School Graduate. Vermont Server Certificate to serve alcohol required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year work experience, time in hospitality service position preferred.
Staff at the Hartness House are expected to to communicate with each other and guests with clear and professional language. They support teammates to reach common goals and maintain a positive relationship with the entire staff. They must also be able to move and/or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
We are looking for a person who is dedicated to their craft of serving the community and building relationships with people. This person will need to have a positive attitude and be able to remain calm in unexpected and busy situations. The right applicant will have a passion and knowledge of wine and bar service. Most importantly we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, able to work independently, and will take great pride in the work they do for the guests and the reputation of the Tavern.
This is a part-time position. Weekends and some holidays are required.
