THE ROLE

The Associate Media Director is the cornerstone of our media team, manager and mentor to department staff, and key counsel to our clients. This person will help make a mark by managing development, execution and monitoring of media plans for selected clients, and will also be a key participant in the department’s and agency’s growth.

Note: This opportunity is available to remote employees in the following states: Arizona, Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP

  • Develop and nurture ongoing partnerships with key clients, especially at the senior level.
  • Strategize, communicate and execute staffing decisions with the Partner of Media and Analytics.
  • Foster an environment that inspires and encourages intelligent risk taking, innovation and creativity.
  • Participate in agency/departmental task forces, project work and new business.
  • Keep abreast of current events in target markets that impact clients’ businesses.
  • Organize client education to better understand media landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively plans, organizes, implements and has control of the media process within the department.
  • Works with media directors and partner in charge to continually refine department structure, process and tools.
  • Manages media personnel, setting quality standards and enforcing adherence to those standards.
  • Identifies short-term and long-term opportunities for the department and its clients.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and the latest technological advances in all media, including research and buying/planning software.
  • Pursues new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability.
  • Participates in business development opportunities.
  • Sets group goals and maximizes effectiveness of teams.
  • Is responsible for the quality of work produced by not only their group but also creative teams when the project is under their leadership.
  • Positions oneself to be respected by clients and agency as the media expert.
  • Stays in tune with clients’ businesses and customers so that marketing and advertising problems and opportunities may be anticipated.
  • Analyzes data, assesses advertising KPIs, and identifies media and platforms best suited to reach our target audiences for effective advertising planning.
  • Develops a test-measure-learn approach and produces clear and detailed reporting, leading to data-driven decisions that produce business results.
  • Oversees selection and implementation of ad technologies that enable campaign tracking and optimization of media and audiences.
  • Partners with internal and external teams across CRM, analytics, creative and content to ensure seamless integration across marketing touchpoints.
