What You'll Do:

Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you assist in overseeing the day to day operations of the department and supervise the department team to achieve sales, gross profit and shrink goals. You'll handle ordering, receiving, storage, and merchandising of product; ensuring proper shelf and sales floor conditions and stock levels; and selection, training, development, and scheduling of grocery associates.

Skills/Experience Needed:

Ideally, you'll have previous related retail experience. You'll need to be friendly and courteous in order to provide excellent customer service, as well as the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills and the ability to operate knives and case cutters, computerized scales, scan guns, baler/compactor, and pallet jack are important. Assistant Department Managers will need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
