Job description

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Director to run the day to day operations of a clothing closet for children in state care. Duties of the Assistant Director include organizing, volunteer coordination and training, data input, event planning and coordination, and preparing items for distribution to the clientele. The ideal candidate should have skills in time management, organization, and problem solving. Previous experience in social work or working for a non-profit is preferred but not required. Ultimately, a successful Assistant Director will work with the Executive Director to run the day to day operations of the closet. This is a part-time, 20 hour a week position.

Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office
• Orders office supplies and researches new deals, suppliers, and grant opportunities
• Process requests from clientele in the form of clothing, shoes, basic necessities.
• Organizing incoming material donations
• Coordinating Volunteers
• Planning and execution of occasional special events

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Organizational skills
• Computer skills
• Occasional regional travel
• Reliable Transportation
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Over 18 years of age

Preferred:

• 1+ year experience in social work or a degree/certification in social work
• Familiarity with google workspace
• Experience working for a non-profit organization
• Experience as, or working with, foster families
• Grant writing experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
