Job description

Machine construction company in Kent, OH looking for an Assembly Technician to join their outstanding team. This is a 1st shift position starting a pay rate of $18-20/hr. Temp-to-hire period is 1-2 weeks, then you are hired in directly.

Skills and Abilities of an Assembly Technician:

• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings including blueprints, electrical prints, and layout drawings
• Ability to use micrometers and feeler guages
• Ability to understand tolerances on assembly prints
• Possesses general knowledge of pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators and controls
• Knowledge of threaded/welded pipe, valves, fittings, related hardware for installation
• Ability to complete required documentation both electronically and written
• Ability to left/bend/kneel multiple times per day, ability to operate a forklift as needed, and ability to lift up to 80 lbs at times

Basic Requirements of an Assembly Technician:

• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized, efficient, team player, self-starter, takes pride in work

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, occasional overtime/weekends
