Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by the our domestic and international customers.
The role includes the responsibility to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of Alstom Service.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The person will be responsible for:
- Definition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans;
- Coordination and support to maintenance technicians on field;
- Provision of performances and log analysis;
- Provision of structured “return of experience” process by: reporting, statistics, etc;
- Execution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans;
- Provision of support to Service Signalling Platform organization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers;
- Cooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product’s design phase.
The position also includes the availability to perform activities outside of Roma site (20%) and to be part of the team that support by remote H24 the customer maintenance team.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications/Mechanics/Informatics)
- Capability to interpret electric drawings and schemes
- Knowledge of electronic design principle and methodology
- Knowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, …)
- Knowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …)
- Knowledge of RAM analysis methodology
- Capability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…)
- Basic knowledge of railway systems and or transportation systems would be a plus
- Italian and English at a proeficient level, French would be a plus
