The Advanced Advertising Media Lead will own the strategy and development of our audience planning, media targeting, emerging media and technology strategies, programmatic oversight and media reporting capabilities for all lines of business.


Working as an integral part of the media team, this lead will bring an audience-led focus with a technical point of view around audience hierarchy, tech and use of multiple data sets to inform personalization-led media strategies. This person will have a deep understanding of emerging trends and technology, best practices and advanced tools and ad platforms that will inform the NA media ecosystem. They will also bring the application of advanced data sets across all channels to drive effective business outcomes.


The role requires ability to proactively find opportunities to use data and technology in media to solve business problems. This role also requires the ability to build relationships, convey complex and/or technical work product to diverse audiences and influence strategic decisions at the highest levels. The ideal candidate is determined, highly analytical, adaptable and is a confident, collaborative leader.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise development of Media Targeting and Audience Onboarding Strategy focused on driving effective and efficient reach, engagement and order volume within our Customer and Prospect base and across Media channels
  • Lead development of Future Proof Roadmap and drive a strategic vision aligned with progressive consumer trends, media trends and emerging technology that are rooted in compelling insights, are culturally relevant, and deliver on brand fit and comms objectives/strategies
  • Drive overall connectivity of CRM and media based strategies in collaboration with internal DTC and CRM teams across NA and Global
  • Partner within Media and the broader Integrated Marketing team on the operational application of audience-led programmatic and advanced advertising executions by aiding the Media Lead in the development and implementation of business processes across the organization; Analyze media performance data to optimize programmatic campaigns, targeting and go forward strategy
  • Lead programmatic activation KPIs that ladder into broader brand health and business KPIs for brand campaigns across the ACPL in partnership with media measurement lead, leveraging tools (Datorama) to analyze progress and inform optimizations
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to identify and enable new advanced advertising opportunities for Colgate, North America and develop business cases that inform prioritization roadmap (e.g. industry innovation, platforms, data strategy, use cases)
  • Partner with Analytics and Insights to develop and implement Lessons Learned to deliver insights and drive decisioning that will inform strategy and program development
  • Identify and use new capabilities to manage reach and frequency across channels, platforms and segments (via AdTech capabilities and automation)
  • Media/Data liaison to leadership for translating any AdTech ecosystem announcements into clear understandable impact analysis / data flow diagrams for data collection, aggregation and media targeting
  • Lead and maintain reporting dashboards and work with internal and agency partners on reporting infrastructure requirements and development
  • Lead privacy and cookie deprecation test and learn strategy to future-proof Media
  • Maintain pulse on marketplace and cultural trends and provide actionable insights and direction; drive thought leadership beyond the day-to-day
  • Lead, mentor and develop one or more direct reports


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10+ years prior experience within product marketing
  • Digital Marketing expertise with demonstrated understanding of how to use marketing levers to drive commercial growth
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations by interpreting data to drive decisions
  • Experience in data/measurement analytics in the Digital space; Ability to analyze data and come up with media and/or creative recommendations to further optimize and drive improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience in primary buying platforms and formats (Google, Amazon AAP, VMG, Trade Desk)
  • Strong Project Management and cross-functional collaboration skills; proven ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strength in formulating sound strategies as well as ability to drive executional excellence
  • Performance Marketing experience, preferably with food/consumer packaged goods
  • Extensive experience in and knowledge of all media channels (specifically, CRM, Video, Programmatic, Social) and various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA, CLV), etc.
  • Experience in leading data-driven media technology (Liveramp, Adobe AAM, Epsilon, Neustar, etc.)
  • Experience with ad verification and brand safety tools
  • Analytics; Exposure to IMC analytics including Brand lift, MMM, site analytics

Salary Range $142,400 - $186,900 USD

Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
