This position provides administrative and project support primarily for the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Institutional Research (OPEIR) and secondarily to Academic Affairs staff who collaborate frequently with OPEIR. The position is often the first point of contact for visitors, students, and community professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages front desk operations and traffic flow; assists Testing Center with student check-in and proctoring; provides data entry support; prepares or edits reports to support department projects; supports EMS room reservations workflow; and maintains OPEIR website.

Reconciles departmental ledgers and procurement cards; processes invoices and travel reimbursements; maintains office supply inventory; initiates new hire paperwork for graduate assistants/student workers and ensure required documentation is obtained; maintains records per university policy; arranges travel for staff and visitors; occasionally coordinates special events, meetings, and projects for OPEIR.

Assists with assessment projects, such as enrollment trends, student performance indicators, faculty workload, and other tasks as assigned that require Excel skills and utilize FERPA-protected, confidential data; contributes to strategic projects within Academic Affairs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and ability to work with the public.
  • Advanced technical and computer skills to support administrative functions including MS Office Suite with emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook, database skills, various video conferencing applications such as Zoom; capable of learning new software packages.
  • Excellent editing and proofreading ability.
  • Basic financial and budgetary skills.
  • Ability to organize and problem solve administrative tasks and office responsibilities, work independently, and meet specified deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Cover letter and resume required to apply. Anticipated hiring salary between $35,000 and $38,000, depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and four years of administrative experience are preferred.
