Vaco is currently looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to start immediately in the Cincinnati, Ohio area! This position is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity, will be working full time hours and all onsite. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for purchase orders, inventory, general ledger coding and billing. The right candidate for the role will have a degree (Associates or Bachelors), previous experience with processing Accounts Payable invoices, ability to wear multiple hats, and intermediate skills in Excel.

RESPONSIBLITIES:


  • Manage and own the accounts payable process including, but not limited to:
  • Day to day financial transactions including receiving, verifying, and recording vendor invoices.
  • Initiation of company disbursements/payments in a timely manner via ACH/checks/bill.com
  • Establish yourself as the point person for all vendor inquiries/discrepancies
  • Process and review employee expense reimbursements and per diems for timely reimbursement
  • Manage and oversee the company credit card accounts
  • Work with other departments on invoice questions
  • Obtain proper approvals prior to disbursement
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills are accounted for and posted in the proper accounting period and record the necessary accruals
  • Understand the general ledger and expense accounts to ensure all charges are properly coded
  • Set up new vendors and maintain vendor profiles
  • Ensure W-9s are on file, and payment details are current
  • 1099 year-end annual filings
  • Prepare annual property tax returns, annual business registration and other tax forms as necessary
  • Payroll and Human Resources
  • Process bi-weekly payroll via Paycor Payroll system
  • Oversee administration of 401K plan paperwork (enrollment, rollovers/distributions as needed)
  • Assist with new employee payroll data entry into Paycor system
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies and/or notices from taxing authorities
  • Review payroll liabilities and ensure proper filing of payroll related tax forms with taxing agencies
  • Complete any payroll related tax forms including but not limited to the Ohio Workers Compensation True Up and Unemployment paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • 1-2 years of accounts payable and/or payroll experience desired

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Microsoft Office experience required, intermediate excel skills desired
  • NetSuite and/or Paycor experience is a plus
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong math/number, and data entry skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and address multiple assignments
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse team member population
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity
