As an Accounts Payable Specialist for The Ascot Corporation, LLC, you will be responsible for timely payments to trades and accurate invoice entry into the accounting system. You will report directly to the CFO who will assign you various task and duties such as journal entries, reports, tax payments, or special assignments as needed. This position requires an intermediate level of accounting knowledge to reconcile company bank accounts, credit cards, and provide various reports monthly.
Position Responsibilities
- Reconcile all bank accounts and credit card statements monthly.
- Report on all job starts to meet monthly insurance requirements.
- Maintain vendor accounts and ensure up-to-date insurances and W9s.
- Report to and assist CFO in special assignments as required.
- Maintain and manage all hard copy accounting files, electronic records, and stage files annually.
- Issue vendor 1099s at end of year cycle.
- Understand the company chart of accounts and how to apply costs to various general ledger accounts and cost codes.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Job cost accounting experience desirable.
- ECI MarkSystems software or similar accounting software experience i.e., QuickBooks, Sage Contractor etc.
- Associate’s degree in accounting.
- At least 2 years’ experience in similar position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong email/telephone etiquette and excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
