JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk duties include accounts payable, focus on billing, contract review, and maintenance of office organization of accounting records. Other clerical functions may be required as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of experience in basic accounting
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience with accounts payable.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook experience
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
  • Be responsive, attentive and engaging.
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2+ years of upper-level education in accounting or general business
  • Must have strong A/P or Billing experience.
  • Accounting experience in the Construction field
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera accounting software
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides operational support to Financial Accountant
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records, and company information (internal and external)
  • Processes for invoicing of bills and payments
  • Will assist with collections of unpaid invoices.
  • Maintains office organization of accounting records.
  • Provides clerical and data entry support, for project records and reports, to other departments within the company.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Work is both sedentary and active. Required to exert up to 15 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. periodically.
• May be required to lift, hold and carry office supplies and equipment.
• May be required to sit, stand, reach, twist and walk to perform duties.
• Fine dexterity, repetitive motion and manipulation required to operate a keyboard & office
equipment.
• Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound over telephone,
in-person, and VOIP
• Close visual acuity to prepare, transcribe or analyze data on a computer terminal, extensive reading
• Work is predominately indoors in office environment.
