The Account Specialist manages a portfolio of accounts in accordance with Red Iron credit policies, processes, and Toro objectives. This position will work closely with Toro division personnel, channel partners, Huntington Bank personnel, and other colleagues to minimize risk through strong collections while striking a balance to deliver superior customer care.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Management of a portfolio of accounts
    • Establish strong, trusting relationships with dealer accounts
    • Handle customer questions and concerns quickly and professionally
    • Understand the risk implications to Toro, Huntington, and customer when concerns arise
    • Maintain compliance with policies, legal documents, procedures, and regulatory authorities
    • Provide training to customers when needed on systems functionality
    • Contact customers for payment of due items per Huntington policy
    • Manage account credit lines and order approval process
  • Onboarding support of new customers and redocumentation of existing accounts
    • Process Red Iron customer applications per Huntington procedures
    • Prepare and collect documents for underwriting review
    • Follow up with customers for required legal documentation
    • Provide updates to sales representatives as necessary
  • Projects as required
    • Work within Red Iron or with other Toro functions or divisions to drive process changes
    • Be a team member or leader of cross-functional projects


What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred, other 4-year degrees with relevant work experience will be considered
  • 1-4 years’ experience in a finance, collections, or banking related field is preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter / Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to understand customer’s business in the context of inventory financing
  • An aptitude for learning / mastering a variety of system tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • A strong desire and skill for customer care
