This Subject Matter Expert position, within the Product Marketing Management team of our Heavy Construction Segment, plays a key role in all operational aspects of ongoing product lifecycle innovation, and delivery to the market. It also plays a key role in terms of internal product and workflow communications, establishing best practices, and the publishing of knowledge transfer materials.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager for the Heavy Construction team and working with the Technical Support Specialist team, corporate support teams and occasionally external resources, this position is focused on the development and testing of new products, adaptations, and new solutions. This will include the development of use cases, testing with and for the development team, as well as pioneering new solutions and workflows. In addition to development activities this role is responsible for creating documentation for internal sales and support training.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test new and beta products for workflow and design consistency, documenting the requirements and delivering to the Business Unit
• Work with the teams in the region and the Business Unit to develop new workflows and solutions, leveraging existing Hexagon technologies/sensors/software
• Creation of workflow documents to be used by support, training, and sales teams
• Facilitate the delivery of new product release information such as release notes, bulletins etc
• Participates in overall product strategy, input into functional requirements, hardware configurations, software workflows
• Manages day-to-day progress of product and software testing, reporting and requirements
• Assess the potential for new machines, system configurations and OEM integrations
• Support internal sales, support and training teams as new products and updates are released

REQUIRED EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• 10 years of heavy construction industry experience with a focus in:
  • Software for Engineering, CAD, Survey or similar
  • Site operations and/or surveying in the heavy construction trades, engineering, or similar
• Proven ability to author/edit professional written materials with technical content

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge and experience with machine control technologies
• Technology implementation with customers using mixed fleet technologies and heavy machine fleets
• Experience with the Heavy Construction communications used on/off machines
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with heavy machinery operations and civil construction projects
• Experience with parallel applications to heavy construction such as landfill or mining is a plus

• Domestic and international travel may be required for this role but likely less than 25% of the time
