offering full-service Precision Machining, Fabrication, Painted and Assembled Machine

Computer Chip Production, Defense Contracts, Medical, Power Generation, and
Maine’s Paper Industry.

D&G Machine employees have the opportunity to advance within the company after

being promoted from the shop floor.

D&G Machine is seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses a high level of
technical and mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills and proven ability to
deal with complex problem solving to fill a full-time position of Quality Assurance
Inspector.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Perform assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw

materials, goods in process, and finished products for conformance with
customer specifications.

• Analyze and interpret blueprints to determine specifications, inspection and

testing procedures; and certification methods, formulas, and measuring
specifications required.

• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specification, using

measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

• Remove nonconforming products from the manufacturing process and determine

whether products should be re-worked, scrapped, or reassessed by Engineering.

• Notify Manager of production problems and assist with identifying and correcting

issues.

• Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend

necessary corrective actions.

• Record inspection results on required company and customer documentation.

• Develop, maintain, and post logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels,

inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by Manager.

• Consult with Manager to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies

for questionable products.

• Compare results of inspections and tests to company’s quality standards, report

results to Manager for final analysis and action steps.

• Safely move materials with fork truck and/or overhead crane when necessary.

• Support shipping and receiving activities as required.

• Maintain a working knowledge of company quality assurance standards, internal

policies, processes, and procedures and external regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in precision metals manufacturing.

• Must have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T).

• Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), listen, assess, and

problem solve.

• Ability to gather and analyze information and apply sound judgement in arriving

at appropriate conclusions and determining priorities.

• Must have experience with ISO 9001 philosophy, techniques and expertise.

• Must pass a post-employment offer drug screen and background check.
