We at Buckhead Creek Ventures are searching for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team. This individual needs to be self motivated and work well with others. Also, a great attention to detail would certainly be an asset in this position.

Location: Near Walterboro, SC

Starting Pay Range: $16 - $24 / hour

Starting pay will depend on credentials and experience. Raises are given based on quarterly performance reviews.

Shifts: Mon-Thur 8am - 5pm with one additional rotation Friday through Sunday. Scheduling may be flexible around classes for the right candidate.

A successful candidate:

• Can stand for long periods of time
• Can lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Dependable and reliable
• Works well with others
• Must be able to work at least one weekend day

Job responsibilities include:

• Assist veterinarians in daily healthcare of animals including surgeries
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
• Blood collection
• IV catheter placement
• Prepare and administer medications
• Laboratory tests; fecal examinations, urinalysis, run blood-work and prepare samples
• General animal husbandry

Knowledge and Skills:

• Computer Experience
• Ability to multitask
• Time management skills
• Close attention to detail
• Significant progress toward or completion of Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or Equivalent Experience

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
