Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a Garage Support/Mechanic with a CDL in Nashville, TN. The Garage Support Technician provides support to the service shop, including but not limited to vehicle transporting, shop cleanliness, parts pick up/delivery.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

$18-21 hourly

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles
• Janitorial skills
• Parts inventory management
• Fuel Fleet vehicles
• Performs light maintenance
• Replenishes vehicle with fuel, grease, fluids (oil, water, windshield cleaner), and air (tires) as needed
• Completes daily fueling logs
• Will need experience is driving vehicle under 10,000 pounds and trucks or vans over 10,000 pounds
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

• Must have CDL
• At least 1-2 years in automotive repair environment within a supportive role
• Mechanical Aptitude preferred
• Must have valid Drivers License
• Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers,
• supervisors, etc.)
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
