The Senior Title Examiner is responsible for conducting accurate and complete title abstracts; reviewing searches and providing accurate and complete title commitments, prepared in accordance with state regulations, established company policies and procedures and underwriter guidelines; and collaborating with internal and external clients to provide guidance on exceptions and requirements listed on the title commitment. Researches respective title plant software, analyze and evaluate pertinent record documents for determination of ownership, legal descriptions, and any matters affecting title. Prepares an accurate and complete title commitment, based upon review of the title search, in accordance with state regulations, established company policies and procedures and underwriter guidelines. Follows up with internal and external clients to resolve any deficiencies in the title search.

Assists escrow staff and external clients to provide guidance on any matters listed on the title commitment. Consults with title management and underwriters, as needed, to ensure compliance with guidelines to mitigate risks to the company and, when necessary, seek and obtain approval for extra-hazardous risks. Coordinates with Title Examination Supervisor to monitor daily title production to ensure service levels are being met. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Requirements: Requires High School Diploma or GED. Requires individual to obtain and maintain Escrow Officer license with the Texas Department of Insurance. Complete continuing educations courses required to maintain licensure. Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience in the title or landman industry.

Demonstrated ability to use title production and title subscription plant software. Requires proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform in a high volume environment. Requires good written and oral communication skills.

Requires planning and organizing abilities. Requires the employee to be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative. Requires an attention to detail to identify issues that should be escalated to title management.
