Trainer/Computer Lab Facilitator, Community Link Program
Full-time position

Snapshot of Key Responsibilities
- Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) Familiarity with Talent Management and career paths.
- Utilize Career Ready 101 (online academic and career training course) and other assessments to assist customers in achieving and improving National Career Readiness Certification
- Create resources and develop academic and employment learning activities to meet program and curriculum standards
- Design trainings and programs as needed to meet the diverse needs of funders, partners, and adults served
- Interacts with staff, customers and the community in a positive and respectful manner
- Facilitates day to day operations in the lab
- Creates and maintains a positive environment for customers that provides a safe space for them to decompress, de-escalate and feel supported
- Helps to de-escalate customers who are demonstrating heightened behavior
- Ability to understand and effectively work with technology
- Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes)
- Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
- Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques
- Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
- Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
- Research and recommend new training methods for the success of customers served
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Education, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or relevant field preferred; 2 years of work experience in relevant field
- Knowledge of traditional and modern educational techniques
- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
- Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate,
monitor and evaluate) - Experience with e-learning platforms
- MS Office proficiency
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Positive, professional attitude
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to exhibit flexibility in work schedule and job tasks, ability to deal with change in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and a good driving record
