As a torch operator, you will be responsible for cutting large pieces of metal down to appropriate sizes and lengths. This is done through the use of a torch and dressing is appropriate safety gear including a helmet, face guard, and safety clothing.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Help identify certain types of metal
• Set up torching equipment
• Dress in appropriate safety gear and clothing
• Will use a torch to cut metal into the appropriate sizes and lengths

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Detail oriented person possessing a good mechanical aptitude
• Manufacturing and/or heavy industrial work experience helpful
• Some heavy lifting required (up to but no more than 50lbs)
• Ability to read work instructions
• Actively participate in all safety aspects of the company
• Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner
• Ability to receive and understand direction from management
• Ability to complete or oversee the completion of assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner
