The Theater Manager position oversees the nightly operations of our Dinner Theater and Museums, primarily working 1p-9p on show days. Basic responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Box Office

  • Providing general oversight to daily Box Office operation (ticket sales, incoming calls/emails for information, collection/reporting/deposit of all monies received)
  • Creating and Implementing procedures to keep the Lobby, Museums, and Gift Shops clean and presentable for Guests
  • Keeper of the Safe: Making change for Box Office/Retail/Concessions registers
  • Creating and Maintaining up-to-date information on ticketing platform
  • Keeping Box Office staff informed and up-to-date on all shows, events, cancellations, and any other points of information they should be communicating to potential Guests
  • Working with Group Sales Manager to make sure incoming groups are taken care of, and all appropriate documents and payments are received

FOH (Guest-Facing Operations)

  • Communicating with Kitchen/Serving Staff in regards to meal counts, special diets, number of servers, seating arrangements, last-minute additions, etc.
  • Coordinating/Assisting (if needed) with Guest Check-In and Seating in theater
  • Providing oversight to the Plating/Serving process, assisting if needed
  • Providing oversight/assistance to the mid-show Concessions/Retail process
  • Point-of-Contact for any Guest complaints/concerns

Backstage (Cast/Crew)

  • Providing general oversight to daily backstage operation
  • Communicating with Cast/Crew about show dates/times, rehearsals, call times, special events, etc.
  • Working closely with Tech Team to prepare for and run shows/events daily
  • Ensuring all show components are running smoothly and on time (batteries charged, headsets stored properly, props/costumes maintained and stored properly)
  • Approving/Organizing day-off requests and swing schedules for Cast/Crew
  • Recording/Reporting show/rehearsal attendance of Cast/Crew for Payroll
  • Holding periodic meetings to encourage Cast/Crew and provide accountability with show notes (in conjunction with Creative Director)
  • Working with Creative Director to ensure rehearsals are run smoothly and efficiently
  • Working with Special Events Coordinator to ensure any events in the theater are adequately staffed, and any technical components (audio/video/graphics) are taken care of.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
