FANUC America Corporation provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic, Tax Accountant who will perform assigned duties and responsibilities within the corporate tax function. This individual will report directly to the tax manager. This position requires strong organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently while achieving quality results.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • U.S. Federal, state and local income tax compliance support, this is including research, work paper preparation, state apportionment, and collaboration with external CPA firm responsible for filing of tax forms
  • U.S. sales and use tax compliance preparation and filing
  • U.S. property tax compliance preparation (assigned locations)
  • Foreign GST and VAT compliance coordination and support
  • Canadian income tax provision accounting
  • Canadian income tax compliance coordination and collaboration with external CPA firm responsible for filing of tax forms
  • U.S. corporate filings (franchise taxes, business licenses, and other miscellaneous reporting)
  • U.S. fixed assets accounting - book and tax (assigned locations)
  • International Tax Accounting Support – Support groups to ensure corporate policy is being administered consistently to mitigate VAT and PE risk
  • Transfer pricing compliance and support
  • R&D tax credit compliance and support
  • U.S. governmental statistics reports

Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Aptitude to learn and work with various financial systems and databases
  • Minimum two years related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to manage many tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and producing high quality results
