Talent Acquisition Coordinator – Chicago, IL

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator position is an opportunity for an entry level candidate to start their career in HR. You’ll be responsible for assisting with talent acquisition functions for the organization. The Talent Acquisition team is fun and creative group that you can rely on for info, best practices, and support when needed. The team enjoys a hybrid work environment where we spend 3 days a week in the Chicago downtown (loop) office and 2 days from home.

This position supports recruiting activities, campus recruiting event coordination, reference and referral processes, and other talent acquisition initiatives. It’s a fast-paced, deadline-driven job that will have you working on something different every day.

We are looking for an outgoing individual who enjoys creating relationships, talent sourcing, and managing multiple projects. This role collaborates with hiring managers regularly and partners with the Human Resources team in hiring and onboarding. Experience sourcing candidates using tools such as LinkedIn, is a plus!


The Impact You Will Have:

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with the recruitment and selection process
  • Support coordination of campus recruiting including research, planning, registration, internal and external postings, and any other administrative support functions required
  • Prepare and post job ads on handshake and other external sites
  • Conduct reference checks for finalists in the interview process
  • Support the HR team in pre-hire and onboarding processes
  • Maintain applicant tracking system database job templates
  • Support the talent management team with related recruitment initiatives, and special projects

What You Will Need:

  • Associates degree or higher, or minimum 2+ years of equivalent experience in talent acquisition function
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and ability to anticipate consequences of policies, procedures, and actions related to hiring and the hiring/recruiting process
