Position Focus:
Reporting to the Manager of the Active Directory team, the Systems Engineer 2 will be responsible for: Provide Windows system administration for mission-critical services in a dynamic environment. Manage the lifecycle of Windows systems at an enterprise scale. Prepare documentation to support systems engineering and collaborate with technical owners of applications for planning, deployment, and troubleshooting of new or upgraded functions. Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and automation for systems and applications, ensuring reliability, security, and performance on Windows systems in a dynamic 24-7-365 production data center environment. Work closely with fellow engineers, architects, support providers, and clients to support the organization's infrastructure needs. Participate in rotating on-call coverage and perform limited off-shift work.
Essential Duties
1. Assist with the build, configuration, and documentation of IT infrastructure. 2. Maintain and support IT infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standards and service level objectives. 3. Monitor and troubleshoot IT infrastructure.Analyze and report on performance metrics. 4. Implement and support robust and secure IT solutions. 5. Serve as a technical liaison; support & collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. 6. Contribute to development & implementation of best practices.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
Required Skill/Ability 1:
General understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and data structures.

General understanding of software engineering best practices.
Required Skill/Ability 3:
Developed analytical, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.

Developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
