Position: System Administrator for Tier 1 & 2 Support
Location: Aurora, CO
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team and provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our Information Technology (IT) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the IT system infrastructure and related processes, ensuring the smooth operation of various client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and other hardware components.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing both Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution services, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with agency management and internal customers. They should be proficient in configuring and managing both UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting and maintaining system integrity, and configuring network components to improve reliability and performance.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Experience in security principles and best practices conducting regular security assessments, implement security measures, and monitor compliance with security policies and regulations
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is preferred
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate processes and streamline workflows
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Able to deploy, manage, and monitor cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. Able to install, configure, and manage databases effectively, as well as troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and manage big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Elasticsearch effectively and troubleshoot to optimize performance
  • Demonstrated ability to configure and manage Software-defined Networking and Security (SDN/SDS) environments effectively to optimize performance
Required Education and Certifications:
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Clearance:
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (Conditional Certification of Access (CCA) will not be accepted)
