Position: Summer Literacy TutorThe summer literacy tutor will provide direct intervention in reading to a small group of identified students transitioning to second grade. Responsibilities include: Providing targeted reading intervention for identified reading students using the Wilson Ready to Rise program.Working with the literacy coordinator to schedule the sessions and planning.Maintaining accurate recordsProviding parents with informal progress information and in writing when requested.Hours: Specific work schedule will be determined with the literacy coordinator. The intervention will take place for 8 days (Monday - Thursday) over the course of 2 weeks. There will be two groups a day and service time will be 1.5 hours per meeting.Qualifications: Reading Specialist licensure and/or equivalent experience with Wilson programs.
