STRUCTURAL DRAFTER

CROW ENGINEERING, INC. is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm serving the mechanical, structural, electrical, and civil engineering needs of a diverse range of clients. We have supported the wood product manufacturing industry for the past 55 years.

We are looking for an experienced and talented Structural Drafter to join our home-based support team based in the Southeastern United States. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce effective and consistent 2D construction documents utilizing AutoCAD and/or other drafting/3D BIM modeling software experience (i.e. REVIT, Inventor, Advanced Steel)
• Ability to draw from sketches and/or specifications using appropriate industry adopted symbology, terms, procedures and drafting standards
• Prepare structural drawings and documents for buildings and other structures that include foundation and framing plans, elevations, sections, etc.
• Prepare basic architectural drawings including floor and roof plans, elevations, sections, and site/utility plans
• Detail designing of structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, wood & masonry
• Work closely with staff engineers, other designers, and project managers to coordinate the implementation of the structural systems within a full cross-discipline environment including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and other integrated machinery and equipment
• Draw from sketches and/or specifications using industry drafting standards
• Support project personnel creating or revising drawings to as-built conditions

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Associates degree in drafting or engineering technology or equivalent architectural, structural, civil, or similar industry experience
• 3 to 5 years of structural drafting experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Structural analysis software experience
• Ability to multitask projects
• AutoCAD mastery with proficiency in (or desire to learn) REVIT or other like 3D Software and REVIT mastery
• Bluebeam or Adobe PDF proficiency
• Basic construction experience or knowledge
• Understanding of mechanical drafting techniques and/or machinery drafting design experience.
• Ability to work remotely and independently

Salary based on Experience and Expertise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
