Job Summary

Prepares and processes the deliverable functions of Payroll, Income Audit and Accounts Payable and is the designated liaison between CapGemini and each Stand-Alone Residence with regards to the following;

o Ensures that any exceptions raised are dealt with and addressed internally within the property.

o Provide the CapGemini team in the various processes and tasks that are to be performed as well as to perform duties of these functions that are not able to be performed by CapGemini.

  • Maintains proper billing and collection efforts of assessments for each Stand-Alone Residence in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures.

o Processes, control, and issue prompt and accurate billing and collection of all assessments items to maintain the lowest possible outstanding accounts at all times. o Escalates collection concerns and provide Director of Residence AR aging, ensure applicable delinquency policy is consistently applied and followed.

  • Responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations as well as assisting in month end process with ledger entries
  • Adhere to the rules and regulation of the property’s governing documents
  • The Accounting office structure may vary from time to time and responsibilities will be adapted as required

Job Duties include but are not limited to:


People Functions

  • Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with all departments and Home Office. · Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Finance with maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the assets and resources of the property.
  • Actively support other department managers with matters dealing with labor standards, payroll, and other issues that may arise.
  • Direct and supervise the efforts, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of payroll, accounts payable, income audit, or other areas as directed by the Assistant Director of Finance and Regional/ Director of Finance
  • Assist in other areas of the accounting office as needed.


Product Functions

  • Understand and possess a working knowledge of the Accounting & Finance Manual
  • Good understanding of Month-End Process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in preparation of all budgets and forecasts. · Be familiar with and understand the applicable HOA Condo legislation
  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved satisfactorily.
  • Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.
  • Participate in the physical inventory counts and the subsequent accuracy of count, price, and valuation.
  • Be familiar with the program of records control, security, retention and disposal in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.


Profit Functions

  • Have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the payroll, general ledger, accounts payable and income audit.
  • Review weekly labor report and explain the major variances to established labor standards.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in Forecasting/Budgeting and assist the Department Heads in producing their annual labor budgets.

  • Require a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills. Sun, iScala and Opera/Micros Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued.
  • Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
