A wholly-owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Bay Center Foods, LLC will be a state-of-the-art, highly automated and technology-focused food production facility that will serve Chick-fil-A restaurants across the country by 2020. Bay Center will play an important role in Chick-fil-A's growth enabling innovation to improve team member, and ultimately the customer experience. The new subsidiary is in the early stages of development and will be a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $23.25 to $25.25 per hour. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time. Responsibilities :
The Sr. Team Member, Maintenance is responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, shipping/receiving packages, and routine maintenance tasks to support the department. In addition, this may include monitoring equipment and making adjustments/performing minor maintenance on machinery. They will also have opportunity to carry out preventive maintenance tasks. They will be supporting a variety of duties including coordinating and communicating with operators, maintenance technicians, and suppliers to ensure we have proper and accurate inventory. This role will ensure successful operation of sophisticated manufacturing machinery. This position is located at a manufacturing facility in Valencia, California.

- Detail oriented approach to counting and maintaining inventory of spare parts
- Proactive approach to setup new parts for stock that the facility will need
- Proactive communicator with operations and technicians to obtain & sustainably stock parts needed to carry out maintenance jobs
- Efficienly receives and ships packages pertaining to the business needs
- Acts with urgency and can effectively prioritize many requests from several stakeholders
- Organized and committed to maintaining a clean environment (5S principles)
- Ability to learn machine operation and understand purpose of components through on the job training
- Perform initial cleaning and inspection to maintain machine center line
- Develop problem solving skills by detecting and correcting abnormality through continuous improvement methodology or equivalent
- Conduct basic maintenance task such as inspection or lubrication levels, locating leaks, tightening bolts, search for impending mechanical issues (cracks, wear, noises)
- Ability to Start-up, pause, and shut down manufacturing line
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
- Maintain food and environmental health safety standards throughout the facility (GMP Compliance)
- Safely and properly operate sophisticated equipment, such as HPP machinery, CIP, etc
- Correctly enter data as required such as CMMS, MES and etc.
- Supports execution of preventative maintenance activities and scheduled tasks
- Proactively engages with the production team to monitor and maintain storeroom inventory for equipment
- Monitors key parts inventory to ensure parts and tools are readily available
- Complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work
- Work with and handle cleaning chemicals as needed
- Work while standing for several hours at a time
- Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts
- Wear all appropriate clothing & PPE as required for the task being performed
- Ability to work above shoulders
- Ability to work around a variety of different smells, aromas and different temperatures
- Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload
- Communicate effectively across stakeholders
- Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner
- Computer skills such as basic excel skills & ability to gain proficiency in CMMS (Oracle)
- Ability to comprehend and follow documentation and procedures
- Self-starter with excellent work management, organizational skills, and attention ot detail
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able to work independently when necessary
- Routinely shows interest / knowledge in and offers suggestions / solutions for continuous improvement
- Able to anticipate needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience in various technical crafts is a plus
