Your Mission:
The Global Analytics & Data Products Team is looking for a software engineer to join our team. Your mission is to create and extend our cloud-based data platform infrastructure.

Priorities can change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

Design and implement secure, scalable, high-performance, and robust data services for connected vehicle data in distributed data processing platforms using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL

Design, extend, and review data architecture, model, flow, and integration

Be hands-on and involved with every stage of the software development life cycle

Partner with data engineers and data scientists to meet the need of upstream and downstream dependencies

Develop state-of-the-art functional code

Influence/establish the software development culture of the team

Establish standards and best practices for instrumentation within software engineering

Taking abstract concepts ideas and implementing them in a robust manner

Basic Qualifications:
BA/BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
2 years or more of experience in the software engineering and software development life cycle
Experience with more than one coding language.
Experience with one or more functional languages such as F#, Scala, or Haskell
Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka
Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkinsor GitHub Actions
Experience with creating containerized applications using Docker and running them on Kubernetes.
Experience writing SQL queries
Experience in AWS using IAM, EKS, EC2, S3

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using functional Scala libraries such as Cats or ZIO
Experience working with cloud Big Data platforms (i.e., Spark, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Warehouse, etc.)
Experience with workflow management engines (i.e., Airflow, Luigi, Azure Data Factory, etc.)
