• The role of the Social Worker is to serve as resident advocate, supporting each resident’s rights in the facility and assisting staff, residents, and their families with interpretation of those rights.
• The Social Worker communicates and ensures that policies, procedures, practices, objectives and goals are carried out to attain maximum quality resident care.
• The Social Worker will demonstrate administrative/clinical expertise which is consistent with the established standards of the facility.
• The Social Worker will manage a caseload that may support both long term care and short term care residents

• Pleasant personality and ability to work with residents, families, and staff from various departments
• Exemplary customer service, communication, and organization skills
• Must have a sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled
• Experience in the social services field as a Social Worker or related title, preferably in healthcare, any long-term care/LTC or skilled nursing SNF experience is highly desired
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Certified Social Worker (CSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in good standing, preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in the social services field, preferably in a nursing facility, hospital or related agency
