Job Description and Responsibilities
This is advanced technical work with responsibilities that may include the following:
- Champions Plant SLMS Systems Implementation & Compliance
- Leads Plant SLMS & Standardized Work Training Courses
- Leads Assembly, Paint & Molding Workstation Design
- Participates in Assembly, Paint, Molding & Purchased Goods Packaging Designs
- Leads Assembly, Paint & Molding WIP Rack Design, Fabrication & Management
- Leads Kaizen activities, including Time Study, Work Balance, Workstation Modifications, Standardized Work Instructions, etc.
- Leads Utility Route Design
- Participates in Monthly Level Load Activities
- Implements SLMS Systems & Tools on New Programs
- Participates in Practical Problem Solving (PPS) Activities
- Participates in Design, Justification, & Procurement of Equipment
- Participates in Corporate SLMS Kaizen Events (semi-annual at other SPI Plant)
Job Requirements:
Engineering or related degree or 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Possesses the ability to train others. Agreement to complete all post-hire training requirements, must meet minimum testing requirements, which may include ProfilesXT. Must score a minimum of 26 on the Wonderlic Assessment. Must be competent with computer programs including Word, Excel, Access, etc.
