A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in an amazing setting! There are approximately 20 properties in the Walden, Colorado region for which we are responsible for remodeling, maintaining, or building. The largest of these properties is a world-class log structure that is new construction.
This is a long-term, stable job (2 to 5+ years):
- Must relocate to Walden, Colorado
- Housing available for full-time employees (specific housing needs to be discussed at the point of offer - housing does have some limitations)
- Must already be authorized to work in the United States

Slate Roofer Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years slate roofing installation experience.
- Capable of planning the correct slate pattern layout on large roof sections.
- Capable of sorting and mixing slate roof blends to match the approved slate roof pattern.
- Capable of loading the slate to the roof with correct amount, sizes, and colors to match the approved slate roof pattern.
- Capable of installing the correct slate pattern and color blends over large roof areas to current slate roofing installation practices.
- Must have all slate roofing hand tools.
Job Description:
- Conduct and manage all crew operations in accordance with employee guidelines, safety standards, injury-free and without OSHA violations.
- Identify all safety issues with the project worksite and implement necessary safety equipment to effectively eliminate hazards in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Invest time in planning the work, equipment, and crew requirements. This may include the operations manager, roofing specialist, and your crew.
- Efficiently perform work to the highest standards and communicate to the operations manager that work performed will correct the problems identified.
- Identify and communicate with project managers, potential problems with materials supplied in the early stages of the project.
- Identify and communicate with project managers potential problems with scopes of work and propose alternative solutions
- Keep the assigned equipment clean and in good working order. Notify and coordinate with operations coordinator repair of equipment.
- Provide help in completing all tasks required to complete the company goal of providing superior roofing and sheet metal solutions.
- Keep all equipment in good, clean working condition at all times.
