- We have 4 kitchens, including 1 kitchen measuring at 4500 square feet
- We have a large Catering Department for onsite private events for our residents and staff members
- Our Executive Chef Paul Kennedy was trained by Chef Albert Henri Roux who was a three Star Michelin winner in the UK. Our Executive Chef Paul Kennedy has 20+ years' experience working in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Bangkok & Washington DC. - We will open 3 more dining rooms, including Contemporary Dining, Café Grill Dining and Fine Dining
- We will install a Stone Pizza Oven currently being hand-built in Italy for casual and gourmet pizza's
- We will open 2 more kitchens, including 1 kitchen measuring at 3000+ square feet
- We are currently hiring and will be ramping up our hiring needs in January 2023

Background Check:
- Royal Oaks is a Drug Free Workplace. Background checks, reference checks, TB testing, and drug screenings are part of the hiring process. Felony convictions should be disclosed, but will not necessarily bar a candidate from employment.

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Dining Services Manager, sets places at dining tables, takes orders, serves food and drinks, and answers inquiries about menu. Provides high quality, friendly service to residents and guests of Royal Oaks in the dining areas and at special functions. They train new wait staff, assign opening and closing duties and monitor wait staff duties through completion. Lead Wait Staff also handle wait staff-related problems and work to resolve them in a positive and professional way.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets residents and guests in a friendly manner within two minutes of being seated.
Answers questions about food and drinks including their ingredients, preparation and accompanying items.
Collects food and drink orders, confirms and repeats order for clarification.
Attends to residents’ needs when delivering food and checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing extra napkins if necessary.
Gives a warm and pleasant farewell to guests.
Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station appropriately.
Polishes glassware and silverware and ensures all service work pre-set and delivered to tables are clean and sanitary.
Consistently complies with Arizona State Department of Health Service standards. Ensures the safe and proper handling of all food items according to HACCP. Adheres to safety practices and procedures.
Attends shift meetings according to shift schedule.
Keeps the Food Service Management Team promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Maintains confidentiality for resident to meet HIPAA guidelines.
Full understanding of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to the Director of Health Services, Director of Resident Services, or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights.
May perform other duties such as assigned.
Attends and participates in training activities, meetings and seminars and assists other departments as needed.
Exhibit qualities of a team player and interacts courteously, appropriately with patience and concern for the needs of the elderly and maintains a positive attitude while interacting with residents, guests, families, and co-workers.
Addresses problems and conflicts in a professional and effective manner with supervised staff, allowing for opportunities of learning and growth, and facilitating such opportunities in a respectful manner.
Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies to the appropriate person, such as equipment problems, need for repair or special needs of residents.
Busser
Ensures residents and guests are seated at a clean and properly set table within the shortest amount of time possible.
Sets up the bus stand, restocks and prepares bus stand for shift change or close.
Properly completes service sequences, i.e., butter service, water service.
Empties trash and spot sweeps the dining room.
Prepares coffee and iced tea and restocks during the shift.
Offers assistance to residents and guests by clearing away dishes and glassware and refilling beverages.
Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift.
Food Runner
Expedites orders from the kitchen to all dining areas.
Coordinates the assembly of resident delivery meals; checks all meals for accuracy; ensures the timely delivery and retrieval of all room service orders.
Helps set Buffet tables and decorations. Replenishes food as necessary.
Cuts, portions, assemble, garnishes, dessert menu items for assigned service periods.
Completes scheduled and assigned cleaning duties. Maintains work area in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner at all times. Is responsible for the cleanliness of the service side of the kitchen line and service work stations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Has knowledge of Maricopa County food regulations and sanitation requirements.
Obtains a Maricopa County food handler’s card within 30 days of employment.
Is organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and adapt to different situations.
Education and Experience:
Has a high school diploma or GED equivalent or still attending school.
Preferably has experience working in a formal dining environment.
Communication Skills:
Has a clear speaking voice, and is fluent in English. Being bilingual would be a plus.
Has ability to speak, work, and interface with all levels of co-workers, residents, guests, and employees.
Has ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Demonstrates excellent customer service etiquette.
