In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Java Development experience
- 3+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
- 2+ years of microservices and event driven design experience.
- Experience in software architectures including traditional three-tier and container-based microservices, Kubernetes preferred.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum preferred)
- Experience in Automation and Continuous Integration-Continuous Development (CI/CD)
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Hand on experience with Angular or React development
- Experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise-wide business initiatives
- Hands on experience with Cloud native application design
- Experience designing applications hosted in the public cloud (Azure preferred).
- Hands on experience with Kafka
- Hands on experience with Apigee, API Gateway
- Hands on experience with API development, including REST and microservices
- Hands on experience with test automation, Selenium
- Knowledge of solution design leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Fluency with modern monitoring and logging systems (e.g. Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk)
- Familiarity with Jira and expressing non-functional requirements as stories.
