What you'll do:
As a Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in setting overall strategy and direction for the FP&A department and telling the financial story of the bank. You will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation and integrity of the Financial Planning and Analysis process(es). Some of your key responsibilities include managing the annual budget and monthly forecast cycles, periodic (monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc) management reporting, supporting the Strategic Planning process, and ad-hoc analysis as needed, including competitive analysis and M&A pro-forma analysis. You will facilitate informed decision making by providing value-added analysis and insights to identify opportunities and measure performance. A successful candidate will also identify and implement process improvements and tools to continuously elevate the consistency and effectiveness of our Finance team.
What we are looking for:
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ownership and maintenance of Enterprise FP&A processes inclusive of annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, month-end and quarter-end management reporting, and supporting the strategic planning process.
  • Develop and maintain effective M&A pro-forma models, integrating key assumptions made by executive team, Accounting and Investor Relations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships built on trust with executive leadership team.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to understand drivers of current and future performance; calculate and predict future income statement, balance sheet, and non-financial line-items; creation, maintenance and presentation of budget/forecast packages to business line management.
  • Drive value through in-depth ad-hoc analysis and clearly present findings, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Responsible for leveraging data and technology resources to both upload and report financial and non-financial information related to forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
  • Demonstrate high levels of intellectual curiosity as it relates to understanding bank-wide performance drivers and the ability to aggregate disparate pieces of information into a cohesive message.
  • Lead as an internal consultant and subject matter expert by establishing oneself as a single point of contact for any finance related matters.
  • Effectively communicate with executive leadership team to identify needs and report unexpected variances.
  • Identify and implement improvements to FP&A infrastructure, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Master or MBA in related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-10 years of related experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance, or similar field
  • Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Advanced to expert experience with project management and assigning tasks
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills
  • Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Financial Analysis certification preferred
