Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team and assist with a growing range of accounting tasks at our corporate headquarters in Rochester Hills, MI. This person will help the team primarily in excellent AP processing but will also assist in other areas when needed. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, high level of communication, and able to stay organized very well. The successful applicant will take initiative in finding improved methods for accomplishing our daily and monthly tasks and utilize our ERP system to achieve our goals faster and accurately. Finally, a successful applicant will be an asset to the team by exhibiting values of kindness, humility, teamwork, curiosity, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post daily cash transactions
  • Perform three-way matching on invoices, obtain approval, and process them accurately and timely
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies by working with vendor and other departments
  • Learn the system to become a reliable problem solver
  • Assist Controller with month end closing and audits

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 4+ years' experience in AP and AR
  • Independently develop proposed solutions to problems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work with all levels of staff

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products especially Excel

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment.
Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly position with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
