The 3G partners (C-suite of Hunter Douglas) led the creation of Anheuser Busch InBev $53B revenue, Restaurant Brands International $5.7B (Burger King/Tim Hortons/Popeyes) revenue, and Kraft Heinz $26B. They have extensive experience acquiring and building billion-dollar companies and then taking them public. Position Overview:

Hunter Douglas is undertaking a transformative journey and as a Senior Accountant in the Global Technical Accounting & Reporting team you will play a key role in public company readiness, navigating complex accounting topics, including accounting for extensive M&A activity and preparing SEC compliant financial reporting across over 150 reporting divisions spanning North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. You'll assist with the preparation of accounting policy, guidance documents and training materials, collaborate with local controllers to resolve accounting questions, and research novel questions on the application of US GAAP to our business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development of accounting policies (under direction of the Manager - Technical Accounting & Reporting), including preparing documentation in support of accounting conclusions and assisting with determining the accounting and disclosure implications of complex topics and novel transactions (e.g. stock compensation, hedge accounting, purchase GAAP accounting).
• Assisting with the maintenance of the Group Accounting Policy Manual and Group Reporting Policy Manual, including the preparation of procedural guidance, training materials and addressing ad hoc questions from controller group.
• Collaborating with the controller group in the implementation of new accounting system(s) to ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policy Manual.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations, including (where necessary) investigating and resolving audit findings and documenting materiality judgments.
• Coordinating the monitoring differences between IFRS and GAAP in anticipation of preparing consolidated financial statements under both IFRS and US GAAP.
• Playing a vital role in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including consideration of compliance with SEC requirements in support of the broader IPO readiness project.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, including minimum of 2 years in Big 4 public accounting in audit and/or compliance services
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Current CPA license or completed a least two exams of the CPA Exam, required
• Intermediate level knowledge of US GAAP, required
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form, with an attention to detail and desire for accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and display solid organizational, time management and project management skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, ever changing and dynamic environment
