Santa Monica Proper is seeking a Seasonal Pool Manager. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, and over 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The Pool Manager will be responsible for managing the staff and overall operation of the rooftop pool area at Calabra during their assigned shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day restaurant operations and work to maximize profitability while upholding brand standards
• Focus on visibility, quality of service and interact with guests and staff during operations
• Maintain the quality and consistency of the guest experience
• Follow-up with unsatisfied guests and handles complaints
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in a hospitality environment preferred
• Able to work under pressure
• Work flexible schedules and willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Collaborate with Colleagues cross-departmentally
• Performs job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• Work cohesively with Colleagues as part of a team

Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
