Sales Specialist, Channel and Residential

You will be accountable for sales of Electrification Distribution Solutions (ELDS) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, driving sales volumes and margins. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining productive working relationships with assigned channel partners at all levels of their organization. Responsibilities include assisting with project quotations, order management, customer training, stock maintenance, order analysis to position ABB as a preferred vendor.

Your responsibilities

  • Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin with channel partners
  • Create and manage SPA's (Sales & Purchasing Agreement) for strategic partners and end users
  • Assist channel partners with inventory planning
  • Plan and lead marketing activities with channel partners
  • Generate cross selling leads and make it easier to do business with ABB
  • Conduct presentations to create awareness of complete ABB solutions
  • Introduce new products to existing customer base and identify target customers
  • Create strategic account plans for key customers
  • Meet or exceed assigned volume measurements
  • Develop cost effective and creative proposals based on drawings and specifications; provide value engineering suggestions; provide full packages to differentiate from competition
  • Track sales leads, wins and losses in Customer Response Management (CRM) system; perform analysis on hit rate data
  • Create customer marketing programs New Product Introduction (NPI) launch, training to promote ABB
  • products and services

Your background

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Engineering/Industrial Distribution) from an accredited university or college and minimum 2 years of experience (OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience)
  • Experience with complex contact negotiations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience working with contractors & channel partners
  • Strong technical application, take off, and proposal development skills
  • Customer focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
  • Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training preferred
  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
