Translucent Security LLC (Translucent), has been in business for 6 years, selling, designing, installing, inspecting monitoring and maintaining Electronic Life Safety Systems, Business Security Systems & Automatic Doors in Randolph, NJ for some of the nation’s largest high-end multi-family developers and contractors. Our three (3) Divisions are: Life Safety Division (Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Responders Communication Enhancement Systems, Area of Refuge, Gas Detection & Fire Extinguishers), Business Security Division (Access Control, Video Management and Burglar Alarm Systems) & Automatic Door Division (Commercial Swing Door Operators).Translucent is pursuing new verticals, new services and new markets to aggressively augment their growth. Now pursuing Life Safety Systems, Business Security & Automatic Door opportunities in Commercial, Industrial, Government, Education (K-12) & Healthcare as well as the Multi-Family and Multifamily High Rise. These initiatives demand acquiring and developing new talent and ambitious team members who want a burgeoning career in the industry with a company intent on future growth.

Not only is Translucent Security LLC continuing to grow in their offerings, they are also increasing their reach. While holding a significant market share in the greater NY/NJ Metropolitan area, Translucent is discussing acquiring offices in other cities along the eastern US market.

About the Role

This role reports to the owners and is located in Randolph, NJ. (Translucent) is looking for Life Safety/Business Security & Automatic Door Sales Estimator for immediate opportunities. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients negotiating and closing of three (3) divisional sales groups. Must understand the sales cycle, maintain a pipeline, and forecast correctly. This position requires a team player with a positive, professional attitude and demeanor.

What you’ll do (day to day)

  • Actively grow business by seeking new relationships and service opportunities.
  • Produce accurate estimates and create proposals for new contracts-ground up, build outs, renovations.
  • Cross-sell for other company departments.
  • Maintain high level of service and professionalism.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare proposals in accordance with company policy and in a professional and timely manner.
  • Actively pursue opportunities with existing and new prospective customers in an effort to build business.
  • Take advantage of all marketing opportunities through networking and other market related events ex: industry meetings and afterhours functions
  • Expected to meet or exceed annual, assigned sales goal/budget
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of Electronic Life Safety Systems, Business Security Systems and Automatic Door Operators is a plus.
  • Strong computer Skills and ability to learn new software's
  • Must be a self-starter able to generate new business leads and identify sales opportunities.
  • Must apply innovative and effective sales and project management techniques to maximize performance.
  • Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards.
  • Make decisions and recommendations that affect profitability.
  • Assertive personality with a progressive and positive attitude.
  • Willing to call on new customers.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and encourage creative thinking in others.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve the Company’s overall goals.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen

Experience:

  • Construction estimating: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Fire Alarm Estimating: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Low voltage Estimating: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Normal work hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
