The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department’s (OTRD) mission is to advance the exceptional quality of life in Oklahoma by preserving, maintaining, and promoting our natural assets and cultural amenities.
OTRD is seeking a Sales Clerk to provide guest assistance in the Golf Course Proshop of the Grand Cherokee in Vinita, OK. The hourly wage for this position is $10.50.
Job Description
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
- Open Proshop
- Pick up key at Lodge
- Open proshop
- Verify opening petty cash amount
- Check supplies: Paper supplies in restroom, merchandise, cups, lids, ice in fountain machine.
- Make coffee
- Assist in pulling carts out of cart barn
- Make cart list for renting golf carts
- Throughout Day
- Ring up sales, book tee times, and answer phone.
- Clean as needed: Vacuum floors, keep restrooms clean, stock as needed, clean windows and doors, keep merchandise organized, keep porch clean of trash, empty trash, etc)
- Keep golf carts organized.
- Provide customer service throughout day
- Closing Proshop
- Count out register.
- Prepare deposit
- Close register, print reports, submit Virtual Vault
- Clean Proshop: Vacuum floors, clean restrooms, mop floors, stock merchandise for next day.
- Turn off coffee pot
- Secure proshop
- Drop deposit and key off at lodge
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of storekeeping and merchandising methods and practices; of simple arithmetic and bookkeeping; and of stock control procedures and practices.
Skill in using a cash register and mechanical concession canteen equipment; in keeping records; in directing the work of others; and, in meeting the public.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years of experience in performing purchasing needs (including creating requisitions, handling purchase orders, and paying bills) PLUS One (1) year of experience in sales work; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
