Overview:

The duties of the Retail Merchandiser are to assist the Retail Director in tagging and transporting of goods to the Retail outlets, as directed. The Merchandiser will maintain organization and ensure product is restocked in its proper locations as directed. Other Duties include, but not limited to. Inventory, product labeling and distribution. Supporting the Retail team when needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete opening duties as assigned, following department/accounting procedures.
• Organize and clean shop during shift as set forth in departmental standards removing all trash, cleaning/dusting work area and folding and refolding all retail items.
• Display merchandise in a neat, eye appealing manner, making people want to buy.
• Stock and restock items during your entire shift.
• Acknowledge guests however busy; promote positive guest relations.
• Sell items to guests and be able to answer guests' question about items.
• Follow through with all guest requests as specified in hotel standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of Daily house count, VIPs, arrivals, departments.
• Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled group activities and locations within the hotel.
• Proper use of respective tools, equipment and supplies in the job function.
• Monitor all guest activity in assigned work area; be alert to any signs of trouble. Notify Security at once.
• Answer telephone within 3 rings with correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
• Tag and distribute product as directed
• Assist Retail Director in Display set up and break down
• Assist Retail Attendants when needed
• Organize Maintain Storage areas

Other Job Functions:

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Retail Manager.

• General office equipment such as: computers, faxes, copiers, telephones and calculators.

• Bending –Twisting and kneeling
• Lifting –up to 50 pounds
• Pushing / Pulling –Yes
• Sitting –Yes / Standing 90% of the time
• Hand / Finger Dexterity – High degree of proficiency
• Voice / Speech-Ability to communicate
• Hearing – Ability to communicate
• Vision – Ability to see work area and do job accurately

Safety Requirements:

• Ability to follow the safety policy

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 or older
• Previous retail experience of 2 years or more
