About the California Conservation Corps
The CCC is a work/learning program with over 20 locations located throughout the state. Created by the Governor in 1976, the California Conservation Corps was modeled after the federal Civilian Conservation Corps of the 1930s. The primary focus of the program are our Corpsmembers who are between the ages of 18-25 and providing structure through hard work and development while providing environmental/conservation enhancements to our local communities and beyond.

This is a STAFF position that is based out of the Ukiah Center and will provide support to the Center and the Corpsmembers in day-to-day operations. The center requires 24/7 Staff coverage. The central basis of this position is our employees regular attendance, as this center cannot be left without staff at any point for any reason.
Tasks and duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing 24-hour Coverage (by 8 or 12 hours shifts)
- Ensuring Health & Safety of Center and Corpsmembers
- Assist in daily functions of the Corpsmember Development Department
- Clerical Support/Data Entry/Filing
- Mentoring/Coaching
- Instruction of Courses
- Special Projects
Desirable qualifications:
- A self-starting, highly motivated, detailed-oriented individual, with excellent analytical skills, and a continuous desire to work and learn.
- Desire to work with young adults as a mentor.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
- Desire to enhance and develop innovative programs for young adults.
- Available to work full time: various shifts, flexible.
- Proficient skills in: Data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to manage priorities in a team-based environment.
- Excellent communication, planning, organizing, and customer service skills.
- Possess California Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred but not required.
- Experience working with youth is desired but not required for the right applicant.
