What are we looking for?

Minimum:

• An undergraduate degree, preferably in one of the Engineering, basic sciences or business related disciplines OR

• 5 years in a Maintenance Leadership Role

• 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment in a Maintenance capacity

• 5 years in a Production Environment

• Demonstrated experience working in Safety including working knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out Procedures, Programmable Logic Control, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Systems, compressed air system and components, Preventative Maintenance (PM) Programs

• Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions

• Support a 24/7 operation while on and off site

• Experience with Reading Electrical Blue Prints

• Project Management experience.

• Experience with planning and managing a site's maintenance budget

• Ability to tolerate an ambiguous environment

• Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements and related guidelines

• Working knowledge of property protection insurance requirements

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Minimum 1 year experience in a food production environment
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Actively participate and collaborate with all functional areas to properly maintain and improve the plant assets to deliver metrics (asset uptime, TRS, productivity, quality, safety, waste reduction, etc.) within the assigned area. Reducing Unplanned DT to a goal of 0% is the objective and increasing the MTBF on all equipment centers in the factory. Cost reduction in the maintenance spend without compromising equipment reliability

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive reliability improvement program, which will ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable method. Associate Advocacy - Effectively manage direct reports to ensure maintenance best practices are being followed and developed. Ensure that each report has results-based objectives, timely performance reviews, and appropriate career development counseling. Ensure that each maintenance associate has the necessary skills to meet their job expectations and develop a detailed improvement program where necessary. Support training and development of technical associates reporting to them.

• Technically support maintenance technicians in performing the engineering and maintenance tasks.

• Manage Maintenance costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the department meets the business requirements. Participate in all Engineering Projects in assigned area to ensure that reliability, maintainability, cost effectiveness, and safety requirements are delivered. Write, justify, submit and execute capital projects as assigned. Provide Safety, Security, and Environmental advice/counsel to site staff regarding issues which may have an impact on the site.
