Description

Technical field and office position to assist in the Utilities water, wastewater, reuse and pretreatment compliance programs. Work involves inspecting, monitoring, reporting and providing public education to industrial pretreatment facilities within the Town's service area. Work also assists with treatment plants' field assessments and corrective action measures for on-going compliance. Must demonstrate commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with rules, policies and standards to achieve permit and program compliance. Reports to Assistant Director of Utilities or Compliance & Efficiency Manager.

Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree with major coursework in Science, Engineering, Planning, Public Administration, or related field.

Entry level position requiring six (6) months to one (1) year of experience working with compliance and operational programs related to water/wastewater utilities. A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.


Licenses and Certifications:

Required Possession of a valid Class "E" Florida driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Special Requirements

Maybe required to work extended hours during and after hurricanes or other disasters.
