Position Title- Front Office Registrar

Position Goals

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to multi-task and demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills. Confidentially assisting patients and their families as they check-in and check-out of the facility. Collection of copays and patient responsibility portions for services received as well as the ability to balance daily collections.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one-year experience in the medical field

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction

  • Able to work independently and manage all responsibilities required for efficient front desk operations, and contributing as a team player
  • Pleasant speaking voice
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are required
  • Maintain standards of dress attire
  • American Heart Association CPR certification

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet patients pleasantly and promptly upon check in and check out, providing excellent customer service
  • Answer phones in a timely and professional manner
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Verification of insurance at the time the patient presents for services and clear communication to the patient regarding the details of the verification
  • Maintain patients’ charts with the appropriate data entry, insurance information and organization as well as demographic entry into the computer system
  • Daily balancing and preparation of operational packets
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and Privacy standards
  • Ability to sit at desk and utilize phone and computer for long periods of time.
  • Handling of routine requests from Associate Administrator
  • Maintain front office cleanliness, including the lobby and entry areas.
  • Other duties may apply as assigned.
  • Daily scanning and support of billing department for required documents.
  • Assisting in patient transfers
  • Member of the CODE Team and be an active participant in Code Blue training.

We have barriers up at registration, gloves , mask and hand sanitizer are located throughout the facilities. Mask are available for patients upon arrival if needed.

Experience:

  • Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
