The Triage RN is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while fielding and triaging patient phone calls related to medical needs as well as evaluating and renewing prescription refill requests following the prescription renewal protocols. This requires conducting patient assessments and providing safe and effective telephone advice, care instructions, care management, care plans and directions for patients.

SCHEDULE:

Triage RNs provide 24/7 coverage. Each nurse is hired for a designated shift: days, mids, eves, or noc. Nurses are able to self-schedule their designated FTE within the parameters of their hired shift and specific requirements to provide flexibility and a work/life balance.

Due to the training required of this position the team will discuss working a FT schedule during the first 12 months, the assigned schedule would be adjusted to the applicable part-time schedule post training.

CentraCare Connect does follow the CentraCare transfer policy internally. We require our nurses to be in their hired positions for one year prior to changing their FTE or shift.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in MN required
• Current BLS required
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Phone/clinical triage experience preferred
• Electronic Medical Record Experience preferred
• Previous knowledge of anticoagulation therapy standards and practice preferred
• Ability to use computers and technology effectively and efficiently required
• Experience with Microsoft applications preferred
