JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Summary:
The Regional Internal Auditor (m/f) will support the Corporate Internal Audit department, headquartered in Munich, Germany in providing independent and professional audit services in the North and South American legal entities in accordance with the annual audit plan. This person will contribute to the development of the audit framework for appropriate risk assessment and participates in the audit planning. Also, in this role, this person will contribute to the development of audit methods and procedures as well as to the permanent development of audit manuals and guidelines.

Essential Functions:
Performs audits in all corporate units and legal entities in accordance with the annual audit plan. Executes audits on special occasions.

Analyzes and evaluates the efficiency, safety, regularity and compliance of projects and processes.

Evaluates compliance with internal and external financial reporting, as well as compliance with internal and external reporting in accordance with statutory requirements.

Reviews internal control systems and procedures, reports weaknesses and provides recommendations for improvement.

Creates appropriate audit reports and accompanies their approval through to final distribution.

Performs follow-up reviews and monitors implementation of agreed recommendations.

Contributes to development of audit framework for appropriate risk assessment. Participates in audit planning.

Contributes to development of audit methods and processes as well as to updating of audit manuals and guidelines.

Advises Board members and divisions on request. May liaise with other internal and external auditors.

Knowledge:
Understanding audit processes and requirements.

Understanding of industry audit frameworks.

Experience:
Strong relevant experience in commercial processes, process optimization, and audit in multinational corporations.

Important is a high credibility based on strong competencies. Technical experience and presentation skills are a plus.

Skills:
Strong time management skills including ability to prioritize tasks.

Good project management and leadership skills.

Ability to identify problems, identify options to resolve, and ability to propose solutions.

Possesses the skills to facilitate continuous process improvement.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft office products suite.

Hard-working with multi-tasking ability, capable to deal with under pressure situations

Intercultural affinity and willingness to travel regularly (20-30%)

Education:
Bachelors in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, etc.)

Accounting, Audit or equivalent certification

Position Requirements:
